Perform[cb]’s 2018 Year in Review

As 2018 draws to a close, the Ignite OPM team is taking some time to reflect on this year! From conferences to client wins, 2018 has been good to us.

Conferences

2018 started with a bang as our team headed to Las Vegas for Affiliate Summit West (ASW). The team typically sees great publisher relationships grow out of this conference and this year was no different. At ASW, our team was able to build upon current publisher relationships, as well as meet new publishers. The timing of the conference, being directly after the Q4 high season, is great. ASW provides our team the opportunity to learn how publishers are interested in growing our partnership throughout the new year. This conference was a great opportunity to meet at the start of the year and hit the ground running. We’re looking forward to doing it again in 2019.

A month later, the Ignite team attended DealMaker Scottsdale, where there are usually a wider array of publishers. DealMaker was an opportunity for our team to continue building existing relationships. Our team also had the opportunity to strategize with large publications, such as Conde Nast, CNN, and Buzzfeed. Between these two conferences, our team was able to lay our clients’ groundwork for the year, while growing opportunities for our clients with new and existing publishers.

Client Wins

In addition to setting the stage early in the year at conferences, 2018 added several new clients to the Ignite affiliate family, including quip, DIFF Eyewear, LOLA, Acorns, and Zola, just to name a few. Our team also saw existing clients gain phenomenal growth this year, with Freshly expanding to nation-wide reach and some of our clients including, Sirius XM, Kiwi Co., and Babbel having their most profitable years in the affiliate channel.

Internally, our tour team grew by 10 this year, exponentially expanding the sales, marketing, account management, and media management teams! This expansion allowed Ignite to start leveraging more mobile-focused media opportunities, such as mobile app retargeting, burst campaigns, and programmatic display. This growth enabled our clients to take advantage of increased content partnerships to supply greater upper funnel exposure and sales.

Needless to say, in 2018 our clients did very well. We’re looking forward to several things in 2019, including continued exponential growth for both our clients and our team. New and successful publisher partnerships continue to become available across clients accounts. PR teams are noticing publishers want an affiliate payout, which is opening the door for well-known publishers to work on an affiliate model. Finally, Ignite is looking forward to continuing expanding its partnerships within the mobile space. With so much room for collaboration and growth, the new year’s possibilities are endless.
