Ignite OPM welcomes celebrity-adorned charitable eyewear brand, DIFF Eyewear to the Ignite affiliate family!
DIFF Eyewear is the brainchild of three driven millennials, who worked in the eyewear industry as competitors before joining forces to bring DIFF to life. Zach Gordon, Chad Jernigan, and Chad Dime combined forces and founded DIFF Eyewear in 2014. Having all worked in the eyewear industry, they were aware of how lucrative it was, as well as what it took to make a brand successful. Handmade, designer-quality goods with a reasonable price tag was the goal, but the DIFF team didn’t stop there; partnering with influencers such as Kendall and Kylie Jenner got the brand to go viral. DIFF’s business model offers the charitable incentive, “Buy One, Give One”. For every pair of sunglasses sold, the company will donate a pair of reading glasses or fund an eye exam for someone in need. Since 2015, DIFF has donated over 620,000 pairs of reading glasses worldwide, and they don’t plan to slow down any time soon.
Ignite Managing Director, Lauren Pfanmiller, has had great experience with DIFF sunglasses. After seeing them marketed by an influencer with a discount code on Instagram, Lauren decided to buy a pair. “I couldn’t resist knowing the purchase would help someone in need, and seeing great reviews of their sunglasses all over social media didn’t hurt either!” Upon receiving her sunnies, Lauren said the quality was comparable to pairs of designer glasses she’d bought in the past and that she’d definitely buy another pair in the future. “With so many trendy, unique styles at such an affordable price point, it’s a no-brainer.”
With DIFF’s program launching, Ignite Account Manager, Mike Martinez, is excited to continue building DIFF’s already established and thriving brand. “One main point I wanted to call out in this program is their charitable business model and DIFF’s mission for positive change.” Mike looks forward to working with a brand who really emphasizes and prioritizes philanthropy. “It gives us a chance to take a grassroots approach and allow our publishers to truly connect with the brand on a deeper level.” Through the continued use of celebrity partnerships, among many other influencer efforts, Mike can’t wait to expand upon DIFF’s existing marketing efforts. Additionally, Ignite is eager to maintain and promote DIFF’s ongoing mission of raising awareness around extreme vision impairment.
